About Us

It is the mission of Babes and Bullies to advocate and promote awareness regarding the humane animal treatment of the Pit Bull breed and insure that its reputation is perceived in a positive light by correcting the myths about Pit Bulls through outreach, community relations and established partnerships.  This is all made possible with funds raised at events and the benifit calendar released anually. Our babes also volunteer at local shelters and raise awareness of the goodness of these beautiful dogs through outreach at our numerous events. Many of our babes are also foster guardians of pit bulls and pit mixes or advocates for specific dogs to find them responsible, loving, forever homes. Contributions to the Babes and Bullies will be used to further our cause by publishing educational information on the breed, paying for veterinary needs of  rescued bullies, and assisting local no kill rescue groups in their care of bullies prior to placement. 100% of our net proceeds are dedicated to helping pit bull and pit bull mixes.

Animals make people happy and pit bulls are more than happy to perform in this task! Visits to nursing homes and rehabilitation centers give patients the extra motivation to return to good health. Their ability to be highly trained as service dogs has made it possible for such folks as Helen Keller and Mary Tyler Moore to continue living extraordinary lives.

~ Pit Bulls are loving companions ~

Jamie Foxx, Rachael Ray, Jon Stewart, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Kevin Federline and Pink are only a few of the well know names to call a pit bull their “best friend.” Pit bulls were the most popular breed of dog in the first part of the 20th century when were featured on magazine covers and loved by the American public. Take this story of Weela: Her 11-year old human mate, Gary, was too close to a rattlesnake when she pushed him out of the way and took the bite herself!! (She lived and later in life swam food across a flooded river to aid the people and animals on the other side!)
